This week felt… weird. It wasn’t bad or anything, just one of those weeks where everything was slightly off. The kids were just a bit too clingy, the house felt smaller, and I swear every time I picked something up someone else dropped something behind me.

There were a couple nights where I finally sat down and just breathed. Not like a deep breath, just a “wow… I made it through today” kind of breath. And in the middle of all that overwhelm, there were these tiny little moments that pulled me back in. Selah handing me a book and saying, “mommy, can you read this with me,” Jansen’s little laugh when he thought he was dancing to Golden, Kouvr walking over to me with her stuffed minnie mouse like it was the most important mission of her life.

And it hit me… motherhood is SOOO much of that. The off days mixed with the magic ones. The exhaustion wrapped around the sweetest love you’ve ever felt. It’s messy and loud and a lot, but it’s also everything.

So… if this week felt heavy for you too, I hope you know it’s okay. You’re not behind. You’re not doing it wrong. You’re just a mom doing her best in a life that doesn’t slow down, and often only speeds up.

Let the toys stay on the floor a little longer.
Let the to-do list roll over.
Let the dishes hang out in the sink tonight.
Let the laundry stay in the dryer one more night.
Let yourself just be without fixing everything.

You’re doing better than you think, Mama.
And even on the off weeks… you’re still exactly who your kids need.

This week I’ve been trying something different… slowing down on purpose. Not in a big dramatic way, just in tiny moments that actually feel doable. Actually, finishing my iced coffee before it turns into flavored water... Putting my phone in the other room for ten minutes so I’m not scrolling while the kids are playing. Turning on a podcast I love while I fold laundry, so it feels less like a chore.

Honestly, none of this fixes everything, but it helps. And honestly, that’s enough. Sometimes the things that make life smoother aren’t the big changes we think we need, but the small choices that make us feel normal again. Small, little pockets of peace you can grab throughout the day.

If you try one thing this week, let it be this… find one tiny habit that makes you exhale a little. It really does make a difference.

Some days just putting on jeans instead of leggings feels like a win. I’ve been all about outfits that are comfy, easy, and still make me feel like myself. The kind of stuff you can throw on for errands or coffee and not even think about it.

Just some simple makeup I have been using the past few months, that I ACTUALLY love!

These pajamas are basically my love language. I wear them every chance I get, soft, cozy, and perfect for slow mornings with coffee and cartoons playing in the background.

Okay… I know it’s getting cold but I LOVE this little flower blouse! Comes in a couple different colors and is just the perfect everyday blouse!

Okay mama, these are the things I’ve been currently obsessed with.

📖 PSALM 46:5 – God is within her, she will not fall.

WHITE TOASTED LATTE – am officially a Dunkin girl again… 😍😍

📺 REWATCHING PARENT TRAP – the twins aren’t old enough to even understand what’s going on… but they are a good reason to have it on in the background throughout the day

🏄 MOANA SOUNDTRACK – Moana just might be the most underrated disney movie. Girl… THE MUSIC IS SO GOOD!

If you’re new here, reply and tell me what mom chapter you’re in these days. I love knowing who’s reading on the other side.

Thanks for showing up in this little space with me.

Love,
